White Stripes' First Concert DVD 'Under Blackpool Lights' Premieres Exclusively At AMC Theatres

In-Theatre Music Experience on December 9 Coincides with DVD Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (December 8, 2004) --The first live DVD recorded by one of today's hottest bands, White Stripes, will premiere at AMC Theatres in 13 cities on December 9th, coinciding with the DVD's release.

"Under Blackpool Lights" contains rare and previously unreleased footage of the band, debuting on each AMC "big screen" in a 70-minute presentation that includes 25 songs.

AMC will exhibit the concert footage using the company's proprietary DTDS technology (Digital Theatre Distribution System), which enables AMC to provide alternative content.

"With stadium seating, wide screens, and digital surround sound systems, AMC theatres are a terrific venue to enjoy this visual and acoustic experience. AMC plans to continue pursuing alternative programming opportunities like this to broaden the entertainment options we offer consumers," said AMC Chairman and CEO Peter Brown.

Across the country, AMC is partnering with Movie Tunes and a designated radio station to distribute free tickets for each screening. Movie Tunes and the White Stripes' record label, V2 Records, have secured CONVERSEĀ® as the nationwide sponsor for the screening, which begins at 7 p.m. local time in each city.

Participating cities include Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., Denver, Detroit, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia and Seattle.
