18-Screen Megaplex Anchors North Dallas' Newest Shopping Destination

Garland, Texas (December 2, 2005) - North Texas residents will experience Hollywood-style glitz and glamour first-hand when the new AMC Firewheel 18 opens its doors on Dec. 14, 2005.

The new theatre boasts state-of-the-art technology and features AMC's signature design elements in a fun, spectacular and comfortable environment. Designed to celebrate the entertainment experience, AMC Firewheel 14 will open with the highly anticipated film "King Kong," along with a full slate of other popular holiday releases.

To kick off the grand opening in Hollywood style, a red carpet extravaganza featuring searchlights and a fireworks show are among the festivities scheduled. Plus, moviegoers will be offered a free small popcorn with every ticket purchased Wed., Dec. 14 through the end of business on Sun., Dec. 18.

The new theatre borders the Firewheel Town Center Mall, a 785,000 square foot open-air regional shopping center that serves the fast growing areas of northeast Dallas. It is located at the northeast corner of State Highway 190 (President George Bush Turnpike) and State Highway 78 North in North Garland.
