Kansas City, Mo. (Feb. 11, 2008) - AMC Entertainment Inc. (AMC), one of the world's largest and most innovative theatrical exhibition companies, announces today the hiring of Mike Czinege as senior vice president and chief information officer (CIO).
Czinege brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology and business consulting fields to AMC, most recently as CIO for Applebee's International, Inc. Prior to Applebee's, he was a consulting partner with Ernst & Young. His forte is strategically leading successful partnerships between technology and people to achieve positive business outcomes.
"Adding an exceptional technical leader such as Mike to the AMC team will enhance our company's ability to capitalize on the opportunities in our business, including the deployment of digital technology in our theatres and other related initiatives," said Peter C. Brown, chairman and chief executive officer, AMC Entertainment Inc.
Czinege will oversee AMC's technology and systems team and guide it to deliver quality technology initiatives. He earned bachelor and master's degrees in business administration from the University of Cincinnati.
