AMC Loews Danbury 10 Expands to 16 Auditoriums, Re-Emerges in Grand Fashion

Expansion Includes New Auditoriums, Stadium Seating and State-of-the-Art Amenities

Danbury, Conn. (June 23, 2006) – The AMC Loews Danbury 10 is now the AMC Loews Danbury 16 following an extensive renovation and expansion project. Beginning today, moviegoers are invited to see the new theatre first-hand and have the opportunity to experience the comfort, convenience and quality that AMC brings to the out-of-home entertainment experience. Boasting state-of-the-art technology and enhanced facilities, AMC Loews Danbury 16 will open with a full slate of summer blockbusters.

AMC Loews Danbury 16 offers all of the modern amenities that have made AMC Theatres the preeminent brand in moviegoing, giving Danbury residents a new and exciting reason to fall in love with the movies all over again. Renovations made to the theatre include:

  • Six new auditoriums
  • Stadium seating in all sixteen auditoriums featuring AMC's exclusive LoveSeat®-style seating with "articulating" backs and lifting armrests; allowing guests to be comfortable and cozy
  • Premium projection and sound systems in all of the auditoriums
  • Large, efficient, fast-serve concession areas offering a wide variety of food and beverage options
  • A new nine-station box office
  • Automated Box Offices (ABO) for easy ticket purchasing and advance ticket order pick-up
  • Two new party rooms for birthdays, private events or meetings
  • Additional men's and women's restrooms

AMC Loews Danbury 16 was open in a limited capacity throughout the renovation process. To accommodate the new auditoriums and additional space, the theatre expanded its footprint on its existing property.
