Avril's 'My World' Concert DVD To Premiere At AMC Theatres In 24 Cities

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (November 3, 2003) -- AMC Theatres is rolling out the red carpet for multi-platinum recording artist Avril Lavigne and her fans in 24 cities across the United States.

AMC Theatres and Arista will provide a free premiere screening of Lavigne's first long-form live concert DVD package, "My World," at AMC Theatres across the country. The premiere screening at AMC's Empire 25 Theatre on 42nd Street in New York City--the number one grossing theatre in the world--will feature a personal appearance by Avril herself.

"This exciting event continues the programming initiatives we have taken over the last three years to broaden the entertainment options we provide," said AMC Chairman and CEO Peter Brown. "During tonight's screening, Avril's fans will feel like they are actually at the concert in AMC's state-of-the-art theatres with stadium seating, big picture, and digital surround sound."

Across the country, AMC will partner with Movie Tunes and a designated radio station in each market to distribute tickets for each screening. The screenings are sponsored by 1-800-Call ATT.

Participating cities include New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Seattle, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Miami, Cleveland, Tampa, Denver, St. Louis, Orlando, San Diego, Baltimore, Indianapolis, and Kansas City. All screenings will begin at 7:00 p.m. local time.
