DALLAS (May 1, 2006) - The highly anticipated opening of Dallas' newest theatre, the AMC NorthPark 15, will give area residents a new and exciting reason to head to the movies when it opens to the public May 5, 2006.
The new theatre's design is unlike any other in Dallas boasting a courtesy suite for catered events, a glass balcony overlooking NorthPark's CenterPark and the Dallas skyline, and a generously scaled lobby, restrooms and corridors. High-capacity concession areas and state-of-the-art technology are all wrapped in an aura of approachable elegance, making AMC NorthPark 15 one of the premier moviegoing venues in Dallas.
The new theatre is designed to celebrate the entertainment experience showcasing AMC's signature design elements: high mural celebrity graphics and AMC's exclusive director's series photographs which adorn the walls, terrazzo flooring inlaid with movie quotes inviting guests into the lobby area and a modern-day rendition of the red carpet which directs guests to their seats.

April 28-May 4, the USA Film Festival will have the 36th Annual Festival at the new AMC Theatre in NorthPark. A complete schedule of all Festival events may be obtained by visiting www.usafilmfestival.com or calling the Festival office at 214-821 FILM.
A Hollywood-style event will be held on Friday, May 5 to celebrate the public Grand Opening along with the release of the highly anticipated film Mission: Impossible III. The event will include "Look like a Star" makeovers (makeup design provided by Sephora and Origins, and hair design by Toni & Guy) from 4 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The first 10 ladies to purchase tickets at the box office will receive the makeovers. The Dallas Black Dance Theatre will also be on hand to perform beginning at 6:00 p.m. and Dallas' City Manager, Mary Suhm, and Dallas Cowboy star, Patrick Crayton, will be in attendance for the official "ticket tearing" opening ceremonies which will start at 7:00 p.m. on the Mezzanine level.
Saturday, May 6 will be a kick with members of Kick Start performing martial art demos, while children partake in the excitement by having their faces painted like an owl to promote the movie Hoot.
On Sunday, May 7, Grammy Nominated band TrueHeart will perform from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The weekend of May 12 is "Take Your Mother to the Movies Weekend." All weekend long the first 100 guests will receive a free movie poster from Poseidon, Goal! The Dream Begins, and Over the Hedge. Plus, guests will have a chance to win a unique piece of jewelry each day from Gordon's Jewelers in celebration of Mother's Day weekend!
